This term's coding club is for years 1&2

We have been learning  how to use Scratch Junior, an iPad app where the children have learned to create their own sprite, add a background and code their sprite to move, grow, change colour as well as many other types of code.

We have also used a logical thinking program to code a character to move as directed by the computer in order to achieve a goal.

The children have learned to do simple coding in a more advanced Scratch program,  where they have learned to add sound and speech to their characters as well as changing their characteristics.

It has been a fun few weeks for the children who have advanced incredibly quickly in their learning, and hopefully given them a love of coding.
