Our Parishes

Loving Jesus, living and sharing our faith, welcoming all.

Transformed by the love of Jesus, we are a community of communities,

a sanctuary where all are welcomed unconditionally.

We are a centre of missionary outreach, to make disciples and serve our city.

At St John the Baptist School we are blessed to have two churches in our parish of East Brighton. St John the Baptist Church, Kemptown and St Joseph’s Church on Elm Grove. Canon Kieron, Father Aidan and Father Gabriel celebrate Mass at both churches. Father Aiden, Father Gabriel and Brother Anthony are Benedictine monks from Worth Abby and serve as a chaplaincy team at SJB.

As a Catholic Primary School we strive to work in partnership with the Home and the Church to initiate the children of the parishes we serve into the Catholic faith tradition whilst, at the same time, maintaining the highest aims and expectations within the national education system.
