Rosary

In October and May we celebrate the rosary. We pray the rosary together in class, building up from learning what the Hail May is in reception and saying one together, to saying a decade together in year 6. We have a rosary club where children come along in playtime with Brother Anthony to pray together.

The SJB messengers organised for every child in the school to be given a rosary and we used it to prayer together. Then at the end of the month we took it home to continue using there.

We pray the rosary during the months of October and May.

We have a rosary club with children who would like to say the rosary with Mr Czapiga

THE ROSARY

"To pray the Rosary for children and even more with children, training them from their earliest years to experience this daily 'pause for prayer' ...is a spiritual aid which should not be underestimated" Pope John Paul II

The month of October and May is dedicated to the Holy Rosary, one of the best known of all Catholic devotions. October includes the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary (October 7). The best way to celebrate the month is, of course, to pray the Rosary.

Prayers for the Rosary

Our Father

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed by Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

 Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray forus sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

 Glory Be to the Father

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
