Class Assemblies

Over the last two weeks we have begun our class assemblies and have had a great start from year 3 and year 5. It was wonderful to hear about their learning in so many different areas of the curriculum and I learned some great new facts!

Year 3 Assembly
Last week on 22nd January, Year 3 did their assembly to the rest of the school and parents. They talked about all the learning they had done since September and showed us their science experiment on rainbows, their trip to the Brighton Museum, performed some poetry and sang a brilliant song about the Vikings! The children did so well and should be proud of themselves.
Year 5 Assembly
We were treated to a wonderful assembly by Year 5 yesterday, where they retold the story of the picture book - The promise by Nicola Davies and Laura Carlin. Through the media of art, song, dance, poetry and narrative, Year 5 gave us the message from one promise to plant some little acorns , a beautiful world grows and how important it was to look after God‘s creation. They did an amazing job acting, singing and relaying their words and we were all very proud of them. Thank you, Year 5, well done!
